Mayor of La Ceiba, Honduras. Dr. Jerry Sabio, specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics. La Ceiba, Honduras C.A. Jerry Sabio, a doctor by profession, born in the city of La Ceiba, Atlántida Honduras on June 10, 1972. Has an impeccable and dedicated conduct, he completed his primary school studies at the Benigno Agusto Estrada school in Puerto Cortes; Later he completed his high school studies at the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús institute in Puerto Cortes, graduating with a Bachelor of Science and Letters in 1988. His first beginnings of service to society were at the young age of 15 when he was part of the volunteer group of the local fire department.

At present, as gynecologist, a specialization that was carried out at the University of San Carlos de Guatemala; It has more than 20 years of experience and throughout this entire trajectory it has brought more than 4 thousand children to the world.

​

 

He has been twice a member of the court of honor of the medical college of Honduras; He was awarded by receiving the national prize of the African Heritage Month in the Technical-Scientific category, held at the presidential presidential house.

 

Has become the first Garífuna Mayor of the City of La Ceiba.
